It is highly recommended that you unwind and take it easy in Praca Rainha Dona Leonor, which is the town’s primary public square. Many restaurants featuring open-air patios can be found in this area, and the lively nightlife scene includes performances by a variety of artists and vocalists.

Visit Forte de São João do AradeA fort that was constructed during the 17th century on the edge of Rio Arade in a location that would have been considered to be a strategic point in order to protect the passage of boats.It was constructed following the earthquake that occurred in 1755, and it later became the residence of the Portuguese poet Coelho Carvalho, who used it as a source of inspiration for his works

The fort is in excellent condition, and in addition to the wall that runs between Praia da Angrinha and Praia Grande, it features a number of watchtowers as well as a garden that has been meticulously maintained. Regrettably, it is not open to the general public, although those who go to Ferragudo will definitely be able to see it from the outside.
